Volunteer Opportunity: Peace Corps Youth Development Facilitator (Apply by Aug. 15)

Peace Corps Volunteers and host community partners advance and embody Peace Corps mission and values in communities around the globe. Youth organizations across Armenia are seeking volunteer support to equip young people with essential life skills to succeed.

Armenia is a country rich in history and resilience, yet its youth face significant challenges. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, Armenia has undergone major political, social, and economic transitions. While these changes have created opportunities, many young people, especially outside the capital, lack access to career guidance, life skills, civic education, and engagement. Recent displacement of over 100,000 individuals from Artsakh has further increased the need for programs that foster social cohesion.

As a Youth Development Facilitator, you’ll work directly with the local youth and youth workers to lead clubs, camps, and life-skills sessions that inspire confidence and leadership. Your support will help young people to develop job-readiness skills and civic awareness, while strengthening youth programming provided by local organizations. Your efforts will enable the youth to become active, productive members of society and drive positive change in their communities. By building these skills, you’ll contribute to Armenia’s long-term stability and growth.
