This is part of the 2026 Social Cinema series—a set of documentaries that explore contemporary social topics from a critical perspective, sponsored by WUD film and the Havens Wright Center for Social Justice in the Department of Sociology. Occurring every Thursday from February 19th through March 19th, the Social Cinema Documentary Film Series is free and open to all students and the public. Films are screened in the Marquee Theater in Union South with doors opening at 6 P.M. and films starting at 6:30 P.M.
Mr. Nobody Against Putin (2025), a film that follows Pasha, a Russian schoolteacher, as he surreptitiously and bravely captures the radical transformation of his school on film in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
