Workshop for Wisconsin Educators: Eastern Europe 30 Years after the Fall of the Berlin Wall

This workshop will look at post-1989 transitions to a market economy, communist nostalgia, and other drivers behind the rise of populism we see today in countries like Germany, Poland, and Hungary. We will explore this topic with three experts over the course of the morning and afternoon.

The workshop is open to educators in Wisconsin and surrounding areas. While the content and activities may be of most interest to middle and high school teachers, community college instructors, school administrators, and librarians are also welcome to participate. Financial support for educators coming from outside Dane County, Wisconsin is available on a first come, first served basis.
