Teacher Workshop on Human Rights

from the website:

Understanding How the EU Impacts Human Rights Regimes

April 1, 2017 – 9am to 3pm

Human rights are an essential part of learning about justice in our world. Yet how can it be taught effectively to students in a globally competent manner? Prof. Mert Kartal and Dr. Jess Clayton address the concerns of human rights in the EU context. Specifically, we will be looking at the EU’s impact on human rights in member and candidate states. Participants will have time to discuss and explore ways to develop the workshop themes in their classrooms.

We are doing this as a separate but related event to the Human Rights Symposium at the Law School. Our full flyer for the workshop and symposium can be found here. The flyer for the workshop itself can be found here.

To attend the event, please fill out this registration form and send it to Bridget McMahon.
