Russian Flagship Open House (February 26)

The UW-Madison Russian Flagship Program invites all students to attend the Russian Flagship Open House, which will take place on February 26 at 4:00pm – 6:00pm in 1334 Van Hise Hall.

This event is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students interested in the Russian language to learn about the exceptional opportunities the federally funded Russian Flagship offers for UW-Madison undergraduate students in any major to:

  • Link their Russian language study with their academic major.
  • Study abroad in a country in which Russian is widely spoken and complete a professional overseas internship.
  • Receive up to $20,000 in Russian Flagship scholarships for study abroad and intensive summer Russian study.
  • Join a supportive community that offers individual and small-group tutoring, extensive co-curricular programming, and close advising and mentoring by program faculty.

At the Open House, students will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about the Russian Flagship Program and meet our faculty and staff.
  • Speak with current students from a variety of majors about their experiences in the program.
  • Learn about the application process and deadlines.
  • Enjoy free pizza!
