The National Democratic Institute of International Affairs (NDI) seeks a Resident Research Program Officer to support the Institute’s information integrity research in several countries in Eurasia. This person will be part of a Eurasia regional center of expertise that will serve, support and drive forward progress in programming across the Eurasia region. The successful applicant will provide oversight and quality control over quantitative research conducted under NDI’s information integrity programming and contribute to partner training as needed. Illustrative duties include advising NDI and partners on research methodology, assessing potential research vendors, training and consulting with selected vendors, contributing to survey and questionnaire design (including experimental design), and assisting field offices with quantitative research methodology. Work will initially focus on supporting research on disinformation narratives in four Eurasia countries, as part of programs funded by the U.S. Department of State. The geographic focus may be expanded as new information integrity programs in the Eurasia region become active.
Close coordination with NDI’s Washington headquarters is expected, including regular contact with the Washington-based staff overseeing programs and activities. Some travel may be required. The selected candidate will work remotely at first, but will eventually be required to move to a location in the Eurasia region, TBD, but most likely Lithuania. Housing, relocation allowances and other standard NDI benefits will be provided.
