Position Open: Program Coordinator, Harriman Institute, Columbia University

Reporting to the Associate Director of the Harriman Institute and working closely with the Director of the Harriman Institute, the incumbent exercises independent discretion and ownership and is responsible for designing, planning and managing, through consultation with faculty and senior staff, oversee online and hybrid seminars, lectures, conferences, and special events of the Harriman Institute. In collaboration with other staff, the incumbent will coordinate the creation, development, and maintenance of mailing and email lists, reaching the entire Columbia community and other universities and cultural institutions in the New York metropolitan area and beyond; update and maintain websites; manage all correspondence with the general public about events; and track and monitor event expenses. The incumbent works with Institute staff to ensure that all program expenses are paid and reimbursed in a timely manner, and resolves any financial issues that arise.
