Position Open: Program Advisor, Wud Cuisine And Global Connections

Oversees the daily management of programs, services, activities, facilities, policies and/or processes in order to support student success in various areas of student affairs. Works under broad, administrative direction with significant responsibility for assigned area(s) of responsibility. Responds to inquiries from University departments, educational institutions, the community, and/or external agencies. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.

Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD) is the student programming board of the Wisconsin Union. WUD coordinates the work of the committees and clubs, reviews budgets and makes policy recommendations to its governing board, the Union Council. WUD is guided by three officers and twelve directors representing Alternative Breaks, Art, Cuisine, Distinguished Lecture Series, Film, Games, Global Connections, Music, Performing Arts, Publications, Wisconsin Hoofers, and Society and Politics.

The Program Advisor is responsible for advising two of the Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD) Committees. For the 2021-2022 academic year, those committees will be Cuisine and Global Connections. The committees advised may change after the first year.

The WUD Committee s plan educational and entertainment programs to provide an atmosphere for social gathering among all members of the University community at both Memorial Union and Union South. The University represents people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, therefore the Union strives to present programs that meets the diversity of the campus community.
