International Student Services (ISS) seeks an individual committed to inclusive international student advising. International Student Advisors work as a team to educate and empower students to make informed decisions to maintain F/J nonimmigrant status, foster a sense of belonging on campus, and are committed to student data privacy and data integrity. Advisors collaborate with campus partners to support inclusive academic and co-curricular access.
This position reports to the associate director for advising services. The advisor interprets federal immigration regulations, leads student visa workshops, and advises international students to ensure compliance with federal regulations. The advisor also supports students’ cultural adjustment and promotes intercultural learning.
A Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Global Education, Counseling, or a related field is required.
