Position Open: Global Scholars Program Coordinator

The Partnership for the Advancement and Immersion of Refugees’ Global Scholars Program is a community-based mentoring and case management program aimed at increasing graduation rates and post-secondary success for 11th and 12th grade refugee students in the greater Houston area. Students in this program are assigned an adult mentor and work with PAIR staff to receive individualized support in the students’ pursuit of high school graduation, career exploration, and preparation for post-secondary success.

The Program Coordinator (PC) collaborates with PAIR staff and volunteer mentors to plan, implement, and evaluate an educational program for refugee youth ages 16-22. Specifically, the PC will work with 11th grade students and their mentors and with the cohort of college Freshmen recently graduated from PAIR’s 12th grade program. The PC will work primarily with students after school; a typical weekday schedule would include work from 11am to 7pm. Working occasional Saturdays should also be expected.
