Position Open: Cataloger at Hillwood Estate, Museum, and Gardens (Washington, D.C.)

A part-time cataloger position is open at the Hillwood Estate, Museum, and Gardens in Washington, D.C.

The cataloger creates MARC bibliographic records for print and non-print materials using local call number schemes as well as Library of Congress subject headings. The cataloger also imports existing records to home catalog (Koha) via OCLC Connexion and corrects, edits, and enhances existing records according to local and national cataloging and metadata standards, including authority control of database access points. Cataloger also creates original cataloging records when existing metadata cannot be found and helps to maintain the collection consisting of Russian, French, German, and English titles and generates bibliographic and holdings data from the library catalog to support the work of the collections department. This role pays $22/hour.
