Position Open: Assistant Director, Global and Intercultural Affairs Center, University of Dayton

The GIA Center invites applications for the position of Assistant Director. The selected candidate, with guidance from the Director, is responsible for the support and development of on-campus, local and virtual global and intercultural learning opportunities, campus collaborative programming, and support of marketing and communication initiatives at the GIA Center.

Some aspects of this role include working independently and/or collaboratively to:
-Design curricular, co-curricular, and programmatic experiences that build students’ intercultural skills and capacity to be globally conscious leaders. This includes designing, instructing and facilitating mini-courses, dialogues, training/workshops, programs and events.
-Oversee programmatic and curricular aspects of globally focused residential learning living communities.
-Coordinate small and large scale events that celebrate diversity and raise awareness and critical examination of local and global issues
-Support and oversee peer education programs, in collaboration with campus partners, that have a social justice focus
-Serve on campus committees that support diversity, equity and inclusion efforts
-Highlight success stories, global and intercultural experiences through blogs, social media or other forms of technology and outreach
-Oversee Graduate Assistants and student employees
