Musicians Wanted: UW Russian Folk Orchestra

The UW Russian Folk Orchestra, in its 21st season, is seeking new musicians. This unique ensemble specializes in Russian and East-European folk music performed on authentic Russian folk instruments, balalaikas and domras. Participation is free and open to anyone; however, the ability to read music and any stringed instrument experience (even a little) is a plus. The orchestra practices on Monday nights.

The first practice of the fall 2018 semester (including an orientation session) will be Monday, September 10 at 6:30 pm, room 1418 of Van Hise Hall (1220 Linden Drive).

For more information contact the Music Director/Founder Victor Gorodinsky at musicdir@russorch.wisc.edu. Also, visit the orchestra website and Facebook page to learn more.
