English Resource Center Coordinator, English Resource Center

The English Resource Center Coordinator (Coordinator) is part of a team that delivers the English Resource Center project, funded for two years by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe.  Based at Bokhtar State University, the Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day management of the English Resource Center, which will expand English teachers’ access to culturally appropriate English language teaching materials that employ modern English language teaching pedagogy and technology; and improve teacher teachers’ skills and ability to adapt their own curriculum to incorporate concepts and materials from the English Resource Center.

Eurasia Program Officer

As Program Officer you will work directly with the Department Director and Senior Program Officer to manage and follow up on the program and long-term partnerships with human rights organizations in the Eurasia Region. You will be responsible for setting program priorities and tracking political developments in the Eurasia Region with emphasis on Russia and Ukraine.

Foreign Language Teacher – Russian (Instructor)

Serves as a Russian language teacher for Undergraduate Education, European & Latin American School at the Presidio of Monterey. The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) offers foreign language instruction in more than two dozen languages on a schedule that extends throughout the year. Courses are taught six hours per day, five days a week with the exception of federal holidays.

Teaching-Track Faculty Position and Director of the Russian Basic Language Program

The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at USC invites applicants for a full-time, teaching-track faculty position as Director of the Basic Language Program in Russian, ideally to begin August 16, 2021. Possible titles, depending on merit, background, and experience are: Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Master Lecturer, Assistant, Associate, or Professor (Teaching). The successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence in teaching. Their qualifications should include an M.A. or PhD in Applied Linguistics or Russian/Slavic with a scholarly or practical background in second language acquisition.

Serves as a technical resource to foreign assistance activities in the area of education and development. Reviews, evaluates and analyzes education data and provide advice on education issues. Coordinates and manages strategies, policies, concepts, procedures, and guidelines for establishing programs in the education sector. Analyzes constraints to development, both sector-wide and country-specific, and recommends courses of action. Coordinates program development, implementation, and performance monitoring plans. Advocates for and represent education policies, programs, and interventions in country of assignment.

Intelligence Analyst

The Intelligence Analyst, assigned to a specific client’s Global Security Information Center, will be responsible for monitoring worldwide events in real-time and assess the real or potential impact upon the personnel, property, operations, reputation, and/or assets. The Analyst provides accurate and timely notification of these threats to all necessary persons and generates reports based on an educated analysis and/or understanding of the data.
