Indiana University’s Russian and East European Institute is looking for a Student Services & Military Relations Coordinator!
Job Summary:
Responsible for coordinating student services for Russia and East European Institute (REEI) degrees and for coordination of broader School of Global and International Studies (SGIS) military relations. For REEI, engages in graduate advising activities and designs and implements events that provide student academic and professional development. Also, assists with REEI’s recruitment efforts, including strategy and implementation, and maintains contact with REEI’s alumni. Additionally, coordinates and expands military relations for SGIS, acting as the school’s point of contact for this growing area of interest. The position is housed in REEI but its responsibilities in military relations will extend to the entire school. This position will thus work closely with the Dean’s office in its mission to expand military relations for SGIS.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in a higher education setting. Knowledge of program design and evaluation strategies; and proven ability to author and manage information for publication to various platforms, including newsletter, website, and social media. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including ability to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals including faculty, staff, and students. Clear organizational, management and presentation skills; demonstrated computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree; previous study of one area language; experience working with the military.
