Assistant Professor in the area of Russian politics and/or Russian foreign policy for an appointment as a tenure track Assistant Professor. The position will begin in the 2018-2019 academic year. The successful candidate will be expected to regularly teach introduction to world or comparative politics (depending on subfield), upper-level political science courses in the area of specialty including Post Soviet Russian Politics, and to occasionally teach as part of a faculty rotation the Introduction to Russian and Eurasian Studies and the Havighurst Seminar (topical); develop a record of excellence in undergraduate and master’s level graduate teaching; conduct relevant research leading to a record of published scholarship; provide institutional and professional service; contribute to all aspects of the departmental mission; and participate in the curricular and programming efforts of the Havighurst Center for Russian and Post-Soviet Studies.
