JOB: Assistant Professor of Polish

Position Summary:
The Department of German, Nordic, and Slavic invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of Polish. The successful candidate will engage in the intellectual life of the department through teaching, scholarly research, and service.

Duties:
Successful candidate will be expected to teach a broad range of courses related to Polish culture from fields including but not limited to cultural history, film, gender studies, literature, performing arts. The standard teaching load is four courses each academic year (two courses each semester). Candidates will be expected to be engaged in significant scholarly research and publication at the national and international levels. Service duties in the department (which will include undergraduate advising for Polish) as well at the university and professional levels as appropriate for faculty rank will be required.
