American Councils for International Education has two new job openings:
American Councils for International Education seeks a qualified Chief of Party (COP) for an anticipated five year USAID-funded Youth Work Readiness and Entrepreneurship Activity. The Youth Work Readiness and Entrepreneurship Activity seeks to equip youth with necessary work-readiness, as well as soft and entrepreneurial skills, through improved quality and relevance of curriculum and engaging teaching practices in school-based and afterschool programs in a strengthened enabling environment. The designated Chief of Party will be the primary liaison with USAID and provide overall leadership, management, and technical direction of the entire activity, ensuring an integrated vision and strategy among different components and actors. The COP will ensure the Activity meets stated objectives and reporting requirements in a timely manner. The position is contingent upon successful award of the project.
The American Councils for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS (“American Councils”) is seeking highly qualified test item developers (in the area of foreign language) to review, revise, and approve listening and reading comprehension test items. These test items will be calibrated to the U.S. government’s Inter-Agency Language Roundtable (ILR) foreign language proficiency scale. Item reviews will be conducted on the English language versions of test items developed for use in multiple languages, all ILR performance scale levels.
