International MA in East European Jewish Studies in Poland

Ri J. Turner, Ph.D. student in the UW Department of History, is studying abroad this year at the University of Wrocław in Poland, which has a new English-language MA program beginning this fall in Eastern European Jewish Studies.

This is a unique opportunity to study Eastern European Jewish history and culture with world experts in the field also includes Yiddish, Hebrew, and Polish language courses. Ladino language is also offered in the department, and there are also three-week Yiddish-language summer intensives in Poland and in nearby countries in Europe that could be easily combined with the program.

Ri is happy to be in touch with anyone who is interested to answer questions about the program and possible funding sources, or to put them in touch with people who can: rjturner3@wisc.edu.
