The Russian Flagship Program is a federally funded program that provides opportunities for UW-Madison undergraduates of any major to reach a professional level of competence in Russian by graduation. You’ll have access to:
- A large, active alumni network with connections at organizations such as NASA, the NHL, the Open Society Foundation, the National Endowment for Democracy, and universities across the country
- Focused, individual tutoring
- Opportunities to study abroad, including on the capstone Russian Overseas Flagship program in Kazakhstan, which includes a professional overseas internship
- Eligibility for up to $20,000 in scholarships for study abroad and intensive summer study of Russian
- The opportunity to interface directly with renowned activists, scholars, authors, and more
