Beloit College Seeks to Hire a Visiting Instructor of History

The History Department at Beloit College seeks to hire a leave replacement to teach two courses in Russian OR Latin American History in fall 2019.  The successful candidate will be able to offer one intermediate-level survey course in their field and an introductory topics course related to some aspect of their teaching and research interest; these courses and their topics will be developed in consultation with the department chair.  History courses at Beloit are small, usually including no more than 20-25 students, which allows for a combination of lecture and discussion and for close attention to student writing and class discussions.  This position is non-renewable.
