The Balkan Language Initiative enables participants to make rapid gains in language proficiency and cultural knowledge in Albanian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, and Serbian in their respective countries. Academic credit is available through Bryn Mawr College. The application deadline for the Summer 2018 session is February 15.
We are also pleased to announce special funding available for BLI: Title VIII Language Fellowships provided by the US State Department are available to participants with a Bachelor’s degree or higher, planning to participate in BLI. Title VIII fellowships are awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merit, and may cover up to 75% of the program cost.
