The University of Wisconsin Madison is pleased to announce a student conference hosted by the Wisconsin Summer Language Institutes (WISLI), to be held in conjunction with its summer language programs including the Arabic, Persian, Turkish Language Immersion Institute (APTLII); Central Eur-asian Studies Summer Institute (CESSI); South Asia Summer Language Institute (SASLI); and the Southeast Asian Studies Summer Institute (SEASSI). The conference will be held on SATURDAY, JULY 22, 2017 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Participation is open to graduate and undergraduate students as well as independent scholars who are interested in presenting original research on various disciplines focusing on Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Eurasia, Middle East/Mediterranean and North Africa. All WISLI students are encouraged to submit their abstracts and avail this great academic opportunity to network with other scholars working in various fields and area studies.
The conference will take place from 9:00 am to 4:45 pm at the Pyle Center, with the keynote address at 12:00 pm in room 325-326.
There is no registration fee to attend the Student Conference, and lunch will be provided for conference presenters. This event is free and open to the public.
